This is your home for the MyChoice alpha — what to do next, what the product can actually do today, and what's changed since you last looked.
MyChoice is version 000.1. Some of this is rough, some of it is missing, and the data part takes patience. We'd rather show you that honestly than dress it up.
The slow one is step one, and it's the platforms' fault, not yours. Start it today and the rest follows whenever your files land.
Every platform has to give you a copy. Our guide walks through Google, Instagram and TikTok screen by screen — including the settings people get wrong.
A few minutes to ask · hours to days to arriveOpen MyChoice on your iPhone and give it the zip exactly as downloaded. The app is where your family's data lives — it remembers what you've given it, so you can see what changes over time.
About 2 minutesThe one thing that surprised you is worth more to us than a bug report. There's a question waiting for you further down this page.
Two sentencesA small group of families is doing this at the same time as you, plus a standing open Zoom. Both are optional and both are where the good stuff happens.
Whenever you likeRequesting your data and getting it back are two different days. Google usually takes under an hour, Instagram a few hours to a couple of days, TikTok about a day. Ask for all of them now — they arrive when they arrive, and there's nothing to do in between.
One place to give us your data: the iPhone app. The browser demo shows you how MyChoice reads an export, but it saves nothing and doesn't reach your account. We're building a web control centre for a later release; for now, the app is where your family's MyChoice lives.
Product changes, things we've learned from the cohort, and anything worth your attention. Most weeks your own data won't have changed — this will have.

An alpha that hides its edges wastes your time. This is the real state of things, updated as it changes.

A handful of families are in this at the same time as you. That's small enough that every one of you actually shapes what gets built.

We ask the whole cohort the same question so the answers can be compared. Short answers are fine.
