Alpha Program

Help build a platform families can trust.

We're inviting a small group of families to shape MyChoice early. It's real and evolving — not yet fully polished, and adults / parents first.

Who we're looking for

Parents of middle-schoolers

Especially families with children roughly 10–14, in the US or EU. You'll help us learn what's genuinely useful.

Your data first, not your kids'

This first alpha works with your own data, not your children's. Bringing young people in properly needs a consent framework we haven't finished building, and we'd rather take the extra time than cut that corner. The families in this alpha will help shape how that works.

What's involved

1

Request an export

Ask a platform for your own data (e.g., Google Takeout). It can take a day or two — follow our step-by-step guide.

2

See your insights

Give it to the MyChoice app on your iPhone. It is parsed once into patterns and the file itself is destroyed — the app keeps the insights, never the raw export.

3

Share feedback

Tell us what's valuable and what's missing. That's the whole point of the alpha.

What happens to your data

Two different things happen here, and both are worth stating plainly.

The MyChoice app on your phone parses your export once into patterns and then destroys the file. We keep the patterns, never the raw export, and the app's data ledger shows you when each file was destroyed.

If you choose to share an export with us — which is how we learn anything during an alpha — it is stored on our systems, and people at MyChoice supporting the alpha will be able to see it. There is no way around that at this stage, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. We will tell you exactly what we hold and why before you share anything.

Your contact details and your feedback are stored so we can talk to you. You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you, at any time, and we will confirm when it is done. You can stop taking part whenever you like, for any reason or none.

What we will not do: sell your data, hand it to advertisers, or use it to train anybody's models.

Plain English, not the legal agreement. The formal alpha participation, confidentiality and privacy terms are being prepared with counsel. We will send them to you before you share any data, and they govern if anything here reads differently.
